What is Personal Training?
What is personal training? It is having an expert on your side, to help you create physical changes faster than ever before. Have you been wanting to get fit, or to take your workouts to an entirely new level, but always feel stuck?
Using a personal trainer can change your workouts rapidly. When you are doing personal training sessions it is vastly different than attending a regular gym, or fitness class. Instead of being lumped in with an entire group of people, or being on your own, you are getting one on one attention. Until you have experienced it, it can be hard to understand how beneficial it can be. Let us see if we can give you a better picture of the difference.
In a normal day at a gym, you would go through your own routine, probably jumping from machine to machine without a real plan in mind. With a personal trainer you are going to have set goals for how you want your body to look, how fast you want changes to happen, and created mini-goals along the path to help you see how your progress is going. The trainer will design a routine of exercises for you to perform to move you as quickly as possible towards your goals.
Just those few differences is enough to make a personal trainer worth using, but it is just the beginning. When you show up at the gym, your personal trainer is going to be waiting and is going to work with you on stepping through the routine. They are going to be giving you advice on how to perform the exercises better. They will be your cheerleader or drill sergeant depending on what you need. They are going to spot the weights for you while you do your resistance training.
Are you starting to get a better idea what is personal training? Once again, this just really starts the benefits. One of the biggest advantages to using a personal trainer is accountability. No longer will you skip a session just because you do not feel like it. You know someone is waiting for you, and you are paying them. Your lack of motivation will quickly disappear because you have someone cheering on your success, and guiding you through your challenges. It changes working out from being boring into an exciting portion of your day.
As you reach each of your milestones, you and your trainer will re-evaluate your progress, and then make minor changes to your routines to keep you on track. This level of monitoring and coaching will lead you to the most remarkable physical changes you can imagine. If you were wanting to lose weight, you will be checking in with your trainer a least weekly and doing a weigh-in. Once again, accountability plays a crucial role. If you had trouble with cheating in the past, you will feel more motivated, because you do not want to step on the scale and feel the need to explain your lack of weight loss. What is personal training? It is the most effective way to grab control of your fitness, and start meeting the goals you were beginning to find impossible. With a personal trainer, those goals will suddenly seem within reach.
